This is a still from the movie 'Shaun of the dead'
which has inspired our opening sequence greatly,
the zombies in the film are still dressed in
normal clothing yet the blood and facial
expressions changes the characters purpose
entirely. Also the story line for our filming is
similar to 'Sean of the dead' as the world suddenly
has zombies living in it and they have to survive
against the odds.
We have taken inspiration from this shot, a
zombie attacking a human, and have used it in
our animatic. This scene is useful for us as
although it is funny, it is also scary and the mise-
en-scene is clear in that the woman's face is pale
and her eyes are distant.
We have taken inspiration from this shot for the
end of our animatic as it is zombies hovering
over a body and tearing it up. The picture
shows a bloody human body screaming whilst
being killed by zombies and the guts are exposed.
This shot is useful to us due to the posture of the
zombies; they are stood awkwardly and misshapen
which adds to the mise-en-scene as well as the
bodies being covered in blood. Also this shot is a
high angle shot showing the zombies are in power
which intimidates the viewer.
